As a Zocalo partner, Ryan has held a lasting passion for the built environment and creating beauty. As a trained architect and a practicing contractor, Ryan is responsible for Zocalo’s pre-construction, pre-development and planning processes for new-construction projects, acting as a single source point of contact between and among architect, engineers and consultants, interior design, general contractor BLDRS and, critically, Zocalo’s management leadership. This unique position as a single, synaptic point, forges creativity, ingenuity, and experience into projects of greater durable value for investors, community and, most importantly, residents. Ryan’s role is the updated version of the European Master Builder. Ryan is an owner in general contractor BLDRS Corp.
He has worked on a wide array of projects ranging from healthcare, hospitality, commercial, multi-family, and industrial in a design-build or Integrated Project Delivery method. Acting as master builder, Ryan creates and manages budgets, schedules, relationships, and strategies to successfully synthesize the execution of Zocalo’s projects.
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design with Honors from the University of Colorado and a Master of Architecture from Iowa State University. He loves to spend time with his wife and three daughters as they enjoy the great outdoors of Colorado, be it hiking, trail running, or snowboarding. Ryan remains active in the community with his church and serving on his local planning board.
