Our maintenance teams had an incredible time participating in Maintenance Mania 2026, hosted by the Apartment Association of Metro Denver. The high-energy event brought together multifamily maintenance professionals from across Colorado for a full day of education, competition, collaboration, and recognition.
Maintenance Mania is always more than just a competition. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the dedicated professionals who keep our communities operating at their very best every single day. From problem-solving and technical expertise to teamwork and resident care, our maintenance teams are truly the backbone of our communities, and it was inspiring to see their talent, passion, and camaraderie on full display throughout the event.
We are especially proud of the Zocalo team members who helped lead and shape this year’s experience.
A special shoutout goes to Fernando Martinez, Service Director at Weathervane, for sharing his expertise during the panel discussion, “A Day in the Life of a Maintenance Supervisor.” Fernando offered valuable behind-the-scenes insight into the critical work maintenance leaders do to keep communities running smoothly while supporting their teams and residents each day.
We also want to recognize Clover Sharpe, VP of People and Branding, for moderating the panel on Upward Growth, which focused on career pathways, professional development, and opportunities for advancement within the multifamily maintenance industry. Her leadership helped spotlight the importance of investing in our people and supporting long-term growth across the industry.
And a big thank you to Joey Little, Director of Maintenance & Cap Ex, for serving on the Maintenance Mania committee and helping organize and execute the event, including coordinating the always-popular Racecar Competition, a crowd favorite that brings both creativity and friendly competition to the day.
Events like Maintenance Mania showcase what it means to lead with purpose: supporting one another, solving challenges with creativity, and working together to help our communities thrive. It was a meaningful day of connection, learning, and celebration, and a powerful reminder of what SPIRIT looks like in action.
