About Zocalo Condominiums

At the time of its development, Jefferson Park was an overlooked and underutilized neighborhood just one mile from downtown Denver, poised for reinvestment. To catalyze the area's revitalization, the City of Denver launched a competition to transform the site of a vacant police station into a vibrant mixed-use community. Selected from eight competing development teams, Zocalo earned the opportunity by proposing a vision that delivered 50% more affordable homes than required under Denver's Inclusionary Housing Ordinance.

The project became a catalyst for the neighborhood's transformation, helping attract new investment and demonstrating the potential of thoughtfully designed, mixed-income development. Building on that success, Zocalo returned to Jefferson Park with RiverClay, an encore development that further reinforced the neighborhood's momentum. Demand was so strong that every home sold before the project received its final Certificate of Occupancy, validating both the strength of the market and Zocalo's commitment to creating communities that deliver lasting value.
