Kathleen joined Zocalo as a Development Manager after contributing to the development of mixed-income residential and mixed-use projects as a Project Manager with Brinshore Development, LLC and as a Development Manager with Cohen Esrey, both in Kansas City. Kathleen has experience working on complex urban redevelopment efforts across the Midwest, including the Paseo Gateway Choice Neighborhoods Initiative in Kansas City and Highlander, a Purpose Built Communities Network affiliate, in Omaha.
Kathleen is a member of the Board of Directors for Senior Housing Options, Inc. and serves as Co-Chair of the Urban Land Institute’s Young Leaders Membership Committee. She is also a member of the Downtown Denver Partnership Housing Task Force and Housing Colorado’s Young Professionals Committee. Kathleen previously served on the Leadership Council for Generation Listen KC which is an affiliate of National Public Radio’s initiative to engage and connect with younger listeners.
Kathleen is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where she received a Master of City Planning degree and was the 2013 recipient of the Brian C. West Award for Excellence in Real Estate Development and Urban Design. During her graduate studies, Kathleen served as a 2012 Mayoral Fellow with the City of Chicago. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies from the University of Kansas.
